I have a Maserati 4200 cc which seems to need a new clutch. It has been 'slipping' for a few weeks. I've taken it into a main Maserati dealer but they can't deal with old Maserati's! Since then the gears have gone into neutral on my driveway and will not start. All the dashboard lights are on but engine does nothing when the key is turned. Not even a click or sound from the starter motor. I assume this is some protection mechanism as the clutch may need changing? It is currently stuck in Neutral and won't roll, it's blocking my drive way. On the newer Maserati's I know there is a lever under the foot well that releases the gear box. Doesn't seem to be one on my 4200. Any ideas how I can move the car or 'disconnect' the gear box whilst in Neutral so I can roll it?
Thanks
Steve
P.S. I've been quoted £5000 for new clutch anyone know of a much cheaper service in the south coast please let me know. It seems the car is not worth much more than that these days.
Thanks
