So removing the choking effect of the cats should take the strangle hold off the engine then, increasing the range afterwards might be prudent..!! Only problem is sport cats are an arm and a leg.....!!!!!
I also see from the Dyno that the max torque area is around the 6K to 6.5K rpm on a more or less standard car, interesting..!!

No if you look at the graph, and smooth it out, the max torque ties with the book at around 4.5K.
Would certainly be interested to see the change with the sports cats instead of the standard set up.

Mine seems to be still pulling hard at 4.5K and above, the revs go up so fast you just have to keep the foot down and change whenever it feels right, I try and aim for about 7K most of the time, sometimes it red lines when I don't change fast enough..!!
