Hi Pibbow,
My gut reaction would be to replace the belts as they are under tension all the time whether the car is used or not. Actually, when a car has done as low a mileage as yours I would think the belts are more prone to snap due to the load on them being concentrated on a couple of places for a long period of time. Sorry mate, I don't want to add to your woes just my ramblings/thoughts.
