Last race shenanigans for the championship are nothing new, the best (worst) example I remember is the Lortis Capirossi/Tetsuya Harada incident in the 250cc GP in 1998. Harada, just needed to finish ahead of Capirossi to win the championship. Then this happened, commentary is in japanese but you get the emotion...

Which sent me down a rabbit hole of how good 250cc Grands Prix racing was... this is 2000, again two teammates in with a chance of winninig the championship... I also miss Toby Moody's excitable commentary...

NASCAR has had a few of these, but a lot fewer since Dale, Sr. was killed...(vid not of that):

I probably haven't looked at a NASCAR race in a decade, but used to really enjoy it as this is the center of that world...

Just seen that as well. Looking at it yesterday I think it was on the cards.

That's a shame, but understandable. The river runs very close to the circuit - from memory it's just the other side of the run down to Tamburello.

So after the disappointment of Imola cancellation we move on to Monaco one of best known of all the F1 races but also the hardest to predict. Qualifications everything here due to the difficulty of overtaking so maybe this is a race to consider a tactical change.

Either way don't forget predictions before quali starts

That was a good weekend at Monaco - great qualifying with 5 different cars in the top 6 and some rain on race day to keep the race interesting as otherwise it’s a bit of a procession. Interesting to still see some overtaking tries in nearly impossible places. I think Perez got a reality check the last 2 races..it’ll be interesting to see where Merc is next week.
