Can you zoom out a bit so we can work out which bit you are pointing at?

Oil water pump O ring seal to front cover? Its tricky without actually being there.

The last couple of days I have had a PO116 code thrown up on the last two outings and the temp gauge doesn’t get above 1/4 way round the gauge so I guess it’s all the same problem

I would get that looked at and not start it. The shaft between the two pumps corrodes and then snaps leaving you with no oil pump.

that sounds likely
I had a flickering oil pressure needle a week or two ago too

The o ring isn’t going to cause that. Either you’ve lost all your coolant or the pump has snapped or you’ve got multiple faults all at the same time.

Don’t start it. Get it looked at properly

You could in theory have a stuck thermostat and a dodgy oil pressure sender and a leaking o ring but that’s a lot of coincidences when a failed water pump shaft (which also drives the oil pump) explains it all.

Is this a job for a garage or I’m fairly competent with spanner’s?

After flickering a few times last week the oils pressure gauge Was reading great pressure since!! If the shaft broke surely I would loose all pressure?
