Just spotted this: Maserati Quattroporte Ghibli GranTurismo 000197118 197118 WHEEL HUB BEARING
£182.35 shipped as long as you're not in a hurry.

As time goes on we have no choice it seems.
That's a Big problem then as that's why they usually get changed in the first place.Someone on the other forum had an issue with these. As mentioned above, the sensor does not work.

I would like to see a UK based engineering firm work out a way to service/fix these - for example, Maserati Shed service/fix the complicated throttle bodies used on the 3200.Same chap, I think. We've been having some conversations

I am thinking of a Sportsitalia type organisation that would exchange the units for say £350. These things are circa £700. Would be great if someone clever did a fix on the hub i.e. replace the $1 sensor that is the thing that breaks.Probably needs a specialist like sportsitalia to pre order X amount to justify looking at it.

I'm useless at any form of engineering - I can't even hang a picture. But it seems like a smart business opp.
Can the sensor alone not be replaced? Or does the corrosion affect the bearing itself so both need replacing? Do they come as a complete unit? From what I have seen, near side/gutter bearing fail the most. If you look at the state of the bearing that comes out, it’s heavily corroded.
I suspect what happens is the corrosion narrows the tolerance between the two rotating halves and basically shaves the top of the abs sensor off. Either that or it allows water inside.
