Lol, more like someone stole my wallet when I bout them. I lasted 3months until I decided I needed power meter pedals on the bike for more data :D

My missus at parties, "Do you know how much he paid for that bike? and it never came with pedals", "What use is that" - Just doesn't understand.

I would be up for an SM charity jaunt...

And does she know what it really cost :p.
Event sounds like a good idea for a ride/car meet at a sportive, we did a good one in oxford which suits all levels. Something to consider for next years calendar.
Who knows, by then I may even have a Mas so I can actually join the ride :D

Lets be fair, you dont need one, I was in the wilderness for a year, went to Le Mans with the guys, didn't matter, enthusiasm for the marque and a sense of, i don't know really, freindship, belonging, a good laugh, don't take to things to serious and everyone seems to get along, its a good place,
But yeah, a charity event, maybe a one day 100 miler, long weekend 250 for an agreed charity would be good, and if we could link a track day, karting or something on the way, to make it different that would be good.
Just my musing of course.
