Is that flying saucer thing a cat toy?
I'd have to say that we look less than impressed with it. A bit 'we're far too sophisticated for this tat'.

As much as I would love to agree with you, they absolutely lost their sh!t over it. They do look incredibly regal though.

Just picked up this beauty for £10.90 on eBay. Lord Nelson TM24 shaving mug in olive green with Celtic design.

I like it as it has 5 holes for steam into the top dish and it has ribs for pleasure... I mean efficiency. It's also a nice retro design.

You actually paid £10.90 for this?
Are you comfort buying to ease the pain of boredom?:)

We have a similar one. When it was new they used to keep us up all night banging the damned thing back and forwards

Back in the day, as well as being Vidal Sassoon trained, I was also by chance trained by an old Cornish barber who showed me the arts of cut throat razor shaves. I used to do these on a regular basis in the salon for grooms, Best Men and the gentry that just couldn't be @rsed to do it themselves but could afford for others to do it (sadly, I was never requested to do a Brazilian)!
I still have both my Cut Throats. One a lovey antique in tortoise shell and whale bone given to me by the old Cornish barber when I came back up north. The other is the one I used in the salon as it had disposable blades...

My father as a set of 7 with the days of the week engraved on the spine in a lovely case. Those were his brother's. Also one that was his daily.

Always fancied getting a proper shave. I will treat myself this year.

Merkur 39c vs EJ DE89 short handle

I tried out the Merkur 39C a short while ago. WOW! Where has this razor been my entire life?! It slices through my beard like it's air!

The angle of the blade makes it super easy to tackle the tricky bits under your nose and chin. I did a 1.5 passes near perfect shave minimal irritation. I used the Supershave Platinum X blades as I got another pack of 10 with the razor (so 20x in my storage box) it was a super smooth shave so will stick with these Swedish blades for a while.

@CatmanV2 you NEED to get one of these slant bar razors

Interesting. I find the 34C is a bit trick to get under the septum. Might give one of those a whirl. Ta!
