There has been a few questionable colour combinations specified when new.
No different to other high end brands when it is possible to specify your own colour combination.

The worst one I've seen is a grey QP with a grey interior, it looked like an 80s Volvo , I don't like the colour matched steering wheels either

You ought to see, or possibly not, some of the outrageous colour combinations the tasteless rich specified on some TVRs, especially Ceberas. Maroon with turquoise everything interior any one.
