Great idea - it would be good if we could get one or two for more northern meets as well. Whilst we are on promotion, I wondered about getting some business cards with the web address on to leave on other Maserati that we stumble across.

Definitely, not going to restrict it to just the South.

Sure, we can come up with a plan but lets target next years Brooklands as the launch event.

The missus is looking to pack in here job as she has had enough of nursing, so I suggested an expresso HY van, go to events and simply serve coffee and cakes, could tie this in with it if we do it up in Italian flag and SM logos.

Place it under a logo'd up Gazebo with a few chairs and Roberts your fathers brother!

Just the matter of £40k now, hum...

It certainly is a good idea congregate together at these type of events under a mutual banner, just remember what Silverstone looked like when we were all there

The other thought was to merge all Italian brands under SportsItalia.co.uk but that would take it away from a dedicated Maserati forum that I loathed to do as its been so successful.

good idea - didn't a member look to do a banner (tax disc) a while back ?

I like this and agree but the single forum just for Mas owners works, however if you go for sportsitalia then you may also want to include the other awesome italian cars - Lambo, Pagani and maybe Lancia

A vote for the SportsMaserati uniqueness. It's a major strength and also referred to in publications and forms such as Pistonheads - it is quite a known brand.

Matt - whatever I can do to help please just ask - happy with time or financial donations.

I think some branding at events is a great idea. To help fund it I would suggest some merchandise is produced - something basic like a car sticker with the logo. Members (hopefully most of us?) buy one for let's say £5 each and the profit is put into buying some equipment to promote the forum - gazebo, flags etc.

Maybe some of the sponsors could help as well - contributions to the equipment costs in return for branding at events?

The fishing pole flags are great as they pack away to minimal size but gay-zebras will need support vehicles...

ill put a pack together maybe, charge £25 and you get several items and the money go to the flags etc.

The only downside is one of us has to man it instead of the usual, beer drinking, talking bollox and standing next to your car with your foot on the gas revving the nuts out of it!

Exactly my issue for not merging it. As SportsAlfa.com has proved, its not easy to get a forum off the ground, you have to have the core of support behind you or they just go to the weeds.

Happy to help in anyway matt ,a work mate father in law works for Sign a Rama hear in Reading and can do a deal on any such merchandise . ref manning the stand , there's anough of us regulars that could do 1/2 to 1 hour stinks to cover a meet may be in pairs just I case you need the toilet . I think it's a no brainer. Get on it !

I think you can do more than a half hour stink - you stank all day at Brooklands!

Sponsors is best...they can help by donating and in return we will print their logos on our merchandise ie flyers or have their name on the gazebo etc along with SM

You need to move with the times a usb stick would be more fitting these days to show of things like the Xmas do I think that would bring in the right kind of members.
Set up the donation account right away wile the discussion are being made we can donate to the cause.
