Hi Simon
Just did (well few months) pads and discs on my 4200. The Ferodo pads are pretty much impossible to find right now and Simon at Opie told me that they dropped them due to continued supply issues. When I did my fronts in the summer, I got Ferrodo pads from Opie, but it took weeks. The discs you're looking at are correct.
I ended up with Yellow Stuff pads on the back of mine from EBC directly cost of £92 inc shipping. They are fine,

I think I might've made a breakthrough in the brake pads - no pun intended!
I've done some digging around and googled the part number shown for some Mintex pads I found on brakeparts.co.uk for a 3200.
http://brakeparts.co.uk/#page=parts...ersion=COUP*(99-)+3200GT+COUPE+SPYDER+&+CORSA
By Googling this part number I was able to find out that this pad also fits a BMW 7 Series (E38) - or at least the 3.5litre engine 7 series. I searched for pads for this model on the Euro Car Parts site and found the identical shape pad to the one shown for the 3200 on brake parts.co.uk
Euro Car Parts also lists the WVA number (a universal reference code used by all pad manufacturers - WVA21471):
http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/B...a9f58e4f6ba0d4f8ff3c33618d68a6d46265f8&000036
Google this number and up pops a link to the Ferodo site, which shows this pad as being used on several applications, including Ferrari and Maserati, with a Brembo caliper:
http://www.ferodoracing.com/catalogue/detail_car_tuning.php?cat=brake_pads&code=FDS998
So this means that if you now search for this pad either by the WVA number, or by searching for pads for a BMW 7 series E38 (1998) 3.5L, you should have a wide choice of brands.
Euro Car Parts list Pagid, ATE and Textar. Having worked with TMD Friction (owners of Textar, Pagid and Mintex - I did all their marketing for almost 10 years, including writing technical bulletins/brochures) and had many conversations with their ex head of engineering in Germany, Textar pads are far better than Pagid (not Pagid RS), ATE and brands such as APEC. Text at are original equipment on a lot of super cars, including the Veyron.
Hope this is useful. I'm certainly going to try ordering and having the Textar pads fitted if and when I finally get my hands on the GS. I'll let you know how I get on but I'm pretty confident these will be the same fit many as the Mintex pads listed on brakeparts.co.uk for a 3200 - only far better than Mintex.
I now need to try the same in the discs to see if Euro Car Parts sell Pagid equivalents. I know from experience that the Pagid discs are exceptional quality (equivalent to Brembo) and coated so they never corrode...
