Do you think so Matt...Not so sure.....I is hard to say what a car will be worth but big engine cars are becoming hard to sell and this will only get worse. Sure there will always been a market for them as there will always be buyersw like us....... I think that the GS has still a little way to fall yet. The only reason that low miles cars have gone up is because of a few dealers putting them up for silly money and tryign to push prices up.....If you notice these cars are not selling fast and are sitting around.......
If you pay 25k/26k for a GS with 35/40k on it now, put 10/15k on her is 2 years I think you would be very lucky to get your money back. That car surely has a few k to drop over the next couple of years.....I think these cars will be up for 22k in two years or so time..Maybe less......The 3200 has only just stabalised after all these years and the GS is not old enough to stop dropping yet. Plus the fact the cars are looking dated due to the release of the GT......Until it becomes old enough for that 'classic' status I don't think it will be a safe bet not to loose money......
Out of the 3 cars that Simon has put up links to the silver one at 17k must be the best bet as far as not loosing a shed load of cash as long as the inspection doesn't turn up anything nasty.......Can not see that car being worth less than 16k in a year.......Its at the bottom of the price range and until other cars drop to that price then you could ask for 17k all day long as it will be the cheapest on sale......If it was me though I think I would go with Simons grey one......A very good value LE in a very nice colour combination plus ou are getting that DL service thown in....but I would imagine you will not het much more than £500 off the price of the car....The blue car would be a real pig to move on onl because of the interior.
If it was me I would buy the car I like within my budget and not worry about depreciation...These are Maserati's and as such are hard to sell, are not cheap to run so are not like your average car....All Maserati have dropped like a stone price wise over the years...They are getting better.....but the GS is still from an age where punters were scared of the mark due to reputation of reliability.......This doesn't help resale......Unfounded or not it's how it is....
You buy a Maserati with your heart......Its all about the marque, the history, the passion...Once you have one you will be hooked and nothing else will do......Bu it enjoy it, drive it...You will love it... A flawer gem without a doubt but one you will treasure.
Saying all that... I could be completely wrong .... just my thoughts....
