You'll find even Chinese is odd over there, Benny...and they do strange things with pizza too!

In Mulhouse, go for traditional Black Forest food - half a roasted pig, boiled spuds and some green stuff tucked on the side for effect.

UPDATE:

Day 2, set off from Troyes and headed on a mixture of A & B roads to Mulhouse.

We have just arrived at the Hotel Du Parc, underground parking a bit of a nightmare but we are in and the hotel is fantastic, really traditional, but very clean and up together, real character.

All cars running well, again some minor issues but nothing that has inhibited.

The full tribe are here and ready to set in for another gourmet session.

Yeah wot e said....

Another fun day; I got to lead the convoy on the windy bits and it mostly resulted in me and Benny going silly bu99ers and then waiting for the rest at the next junction or village but I think some of the 3200's have been seen in a new light by everyone as very capable and the old Ghibli is astonishing. Not good at underground car parks but astonishing anyway!

Has Sterling Hodroyd been at it again................!!!!????

Not yet, but he's going to 'pull the pin' tomorrow when we get to the passes. The rest of us will be trying to keep up. Sounds like a fun way to spend the day! Weather's here, wish you were nice!

Looking forward to the catch up tomorrow boys and girls. Spent the day meandering through the Black Forest. Now in Davos and a couple of hits away from Bormio.

BennyD - your updates are becoming legendary. I think there is a book on there.

Sleep tight all - the Bristolian is not far away.

Yep I am itching to get down to Modena and May call in at the Piazza Nettuno in Bologna to see the Neptune statue which inspired the Trident.

Morning chasps, all good here. Had a great meal last night. Went for a Chinese with some of the gang and it was lovely. However, ordering Chinese from an English Menu to a french speaking Chinaman was slightly surreal but as long as you speak slowly and shout, the message gets through. Very tasty and we could actually recognise bits of what we were eating, which makes a nice change! Weather here is lovely and looks like a perfect day to tear the ar5e out of the Alps. Have fun guys, because we will!

Guys, what time do I need to be in Modena tomorrow?

I note that the itinerary has 3 hours to look at the Maserati display, which seems like quite a while to me.

Would a 5pm arrival be ok?

Cheers,
R

Ross, I think we have a relatively short drive tomorrow so we should arrive early enough to clean and fettle the motors.

Clean? Fettle? What is wrong with you?! Mines done, and all the flys are staying where they died.
