As said previously RM1 postcode is blacklisted because of the Romford Ringroad = accident blackspot so we all suffer as a result! £1,000/PA + So I go for the Rolls Royce cover offered by Hiscox, roll on the day we can move away.....

Bloody ****!

At least Lewis at A-Plan (brokers) was honest with me; I said I should be cheaper because of the building NCD and he admitted it makes sod all difference which is why I ended up back at Hiscox because so much is covered including anyone > 30 anywhere in Europe fully comp. If it gets written off there is a separate little policy that pays out an additional 25% over the top to 'help find a replacement'!

Churchill cheapest for me at £400 for the year. They are part of the same group of companies as Direct Line and Privilege and it looks like quite a few of us are getting a reasonable deal with them at the moment.

Ironically it costs me £50 more a year to insure a 2.0T A4 Avant, and i saved £250 a year on the GS insurance compared to my old 335i too! All drivers on both policies early thirties with maximum NCD and no convictions, accidents, claims etc.

That's reasonable given the 2nd car... Have you accrued NCB on the 2nd vehicle over time? I'm struggling to get a decent rate on insuring a 2nd car as the NCB is all on the maser

I've been with ClassisLine since 2010 and they've always treated me very well. In fact, I'll be renewing with them again tomorrow!

Benny, I have been with classic line for about 10yrs allways willing to match other quotes and they also understand it's your pride and joy.and the bonus of agreed valuation if the worst happens.
By the way Benny how are my loud notes coming along?

Hi
I got my Quattroporte on 1st May, and had been trying different insurers beforehand. I tried Locktons, with whom the Maserati Club has links, left a message (with a person, not a machine!), but no-one even bothered to ring me back. In the end got sorted through the broker I use for everything else - with Aviva. Apparently they have a policy that if you already have a car insured with them, then they mirror your NCD. The price was less than £400 for limited mileage with a £750 excess.
Cheers

That's a shame, I had a really good experience with Locktons and they include a lot of good features like track day cover as standard.
