I have been having discussions with a company recently that might provide interesting rates.
If you call the guy below, say that you are from the Sports Maserati Forum, he will give you a quote less a 10% discount..!! I have no idea how competitive they may be, but it's worth a shot and the guy knows we have a bit of business to pass his way.
So give it a go, but make sure that you have European Full Cover included, as well as all the other bits you want. Maybe we could write up a list of standard stuff that we should all ask to be covered for..??

I would not recommend One Call Insurance after being insured with them I have found pitfalls, so stay clear..!!

So maybe get 200 Masers insured under a group policy Rob????!!!!!!!!

Seriously......

Every avenue worth exploring, given your current insurer will normally put up a renewal premium by 20-100%!

Hey Frank, It's just another possibility and the name sort of fits..?? They may, or may not be competitive, but it's another option and worth a try..!! It would seem that the old favourites may not always be the best, but we do need to get a Forum Package together to make sure the insurance cover is exactly what we all expect..!!

I used to be with A-Plan for years and never had any problems they were great to deal with, it was on the Porsche 996. Last year Swiftcover were the cheapest, for the GTS I used money supermarket and its cheaper to insure than the porsche !!!! Churchill fully comp, no claimed protected is less than 400 for the year..

Guys
I have already posted my insurance experience somewhere on here - and it is stunning
I used Martin Lewis website to access all the usual insurers Go Compare etc and each time Churchill came 1st or second
I eventually plumped for Churchill at a price of about £150
Then there was a £30 cash back.
It took a couple of hours to trawl through the site but was obviously worth it.
Briefly my details are
aged 62
fully comp 9+ years NCB
8000 miles per year
only driver
garaged
etc
Churchill quibbled over a tracker system being of company origin, but when the bosses found out it was for a QP they agreed it was ok
I did all this in Feb of this year
So if you can beat it great - let us all know

Gransport MCV - value £38k. 44yrs old, 11 yrs no claims. Garage in Surrey. 3rd car. Average quote was around £550. Took out a multicar policy via Bond Lovis (broker) - implied price of sub £400.
Great thing is you get to speak to a person with a brain - John Hills Tel:08450778800. Highly recommended.

The Audi was already insured through Admiral so I rang for a multicar quote. I was 47 with 1 years NCB. The GT is a third car garaged in a decent area of Leeds (yes there are some before anyone comments) insured for 5,000 miles pa and social use only. Cost was £560 including my wife as a driver.

I have no points but have been on speed awareness since then so I'm expecting an increase and a need to shop around. Admiral is one of those companies who have confirmed that they view going on a course the same as getting points in order to screw more money out of you.

Churchill cheapest for me at £400 for the year. They are part of the same group of companies as Direct Line and Privilege and it looks like quite a few of us are getting a reasonable deal with them at the moment.

Ironically it costs me £50 more a year to insure a 2.0T A4 Avant, and i saved £250 a year on the GS insurance compared to my old 335i too! All drivers on both policies early thirties with maximum NCD and no convictions, accidents, claims etc.

As said previously RM1 postcode is blacklisted because of the Romford Ringroad = accident blackspot so we all suffer as a result! £1,000/PA + So I go for the Rolls Royce cover offered by Hiscox, roll on the day we can move away.....
