Had that issue once looking for the cause of NOT wanting to select 5th gear.
The system bleeds itself during action, but THERE is the culprit!
With the car standing, only two gears could be selected.
There are two srews at the back of the actuator though, intended to bleed fast via internal ports.
Just prime the pump and open these screws; you will hear preasure releaf inside the actuator.
My GS only could select first gear or reverse, anything else was not possible with the car standing.
Therefore i made a switchboard with six switches and made connections at the multiconnector and the positive pole of the battery.
I could prime the pump and activate all of the solenoids that way.
In that condition, i was able to establish if the actuator could find all gear positions.
For some gears i had to activate two solenoids at the same time, kind of a puzzle, but at the end it was clear that the solenoids and the actuator where ok.
Did you disconnect the oli line to the clutch during the proces?
There is a traditional bleeding nut at clutchside.
If there is too much air in that line, the clutch will not be engaged completely, causing problems of course.
