Hi CatmanV2, Thanks for that link, I didn't see it earlier. As it turned out I removed the outer wheel from the hub (boss) and I happened to have those exact pullers from the article. I put them on, used some cable ties to ensure the legs didn't spring out, and hey presto, the boss worked its way off.
My next bit of bother was the phillips head screws holding the paddles on. I think my car was assembled by an Italian gorilla having a day out from the zoo. Everything was so tight.
Anyhow, its getting late so the re-assembly starts tomorrow.
As an aside, cruise control has saved me from speeding numerous times in my older cars. I was worried I was going to get a speeding ticket in no time. The Maser is so much fun its all to easy to be just over the limit quickly.
I haven't had a speeding fine for over 20 years. 3 days ago, my cruise control arrived from Eurospares. On the very same day, a speeding fine arrives in the post. $290AUD fo being 20km over the 100km limit.
The sooner I install it the better.
