Interesting topic... a story of my own....
You know what, Maserati is the first car I owned 30 years ago when I was a little boy.... yes, that was a R/C car that my dad bought me. I don't even know which model it was, but my dad also told me that Maserati makes awesome cars and this concept planted into my mind....
But, here in Hong Kong, there wasn't too many Maserati's before 3200.... (in fact, even 3200 is just quite few in Hong Kong, but models before 3200 are simply rare!) So, you hardly see one here and if you cannot see one, it's hard to imagine yourself owning a Maserati, especially, Maserati is such a luxury and expensive brand.......
Then, 6 to 8 years before, while I was riding my motorbike with my girlfriend, we saw a 3200 running next to us... from that time, I recalled my memory when I was young.... that is a Maserati, that must be a awesome car.... Then I told my girlfriend that, I would really want to own a Maserati if I can afford one.
A few years past.... Although I got a car and I love that car, I had a feeling that it was time for me to move on to own a better car.... So, I looked into the second-hand car market... considered a few choices like Porsche 996 and Mercedes CLS.... it came up to me Maserati 3200, 4200 and Quattroporte are also within my budget. Then, I started research and end-up with a 3200 after my consideration on the overall cost, rear boomerang light as well as the F1 gearbox issue. So far, I am very happy with my 3200.
