Original, 1951, with Michael Rennie. :)
I like watching old films for the scenery as much as the film sometimes , seeing cities and towns like they used to be
Gladiator

Gladiator was the first DVD I bought when I had a proper home cinema setup with all the speakers and a subwoofer, that opening attack sounded awesome in 5.1 surround back then, we were watching the film quite loud when I thought I heard someone banging on the window, we live in a detached house so I thought ,it can't be bothering anyone

It was one of the neighbours , they'd been knocking and ringing the bell for 5 minutes, he said we're having a party so I wanted to come and let you know in case there was any noise.

yeah, I think we'll be OK :D

Gladiator was also the first dvd that came free with our first dvd player, a philips with scart connector, pre hdmi!
Hooked up to our new wide-screen Sony 28"CRT TV, was a very expensive TV with speaker separates too!

On Any Sunday from the starting scene of a Newton lookalike on a FS1E to the end scene of Mert Lawwill, Malcolm Smith and Steve McQueen (yes him) riding around in a California sunset, its a 70's masterpiece. The on board photography is stunning especially when you remember that it was shot in 1971. This is complemented by a soundtrack that adds to the sense of danger.
It's also available on YouTube
I must warn you that clicking on the link will waste 88 minutes of your life.

No, but he told us where we stand.

Another fantastic movie. The Rocky Horror Show. Not sure I'd want to watch it every day, though

C
Ahh.... At the end when Klatu brought him back to life at the end?!
Rocky Horror was Tim Curry's best role. First time I watched that I was 'stoned'!! Also watched Erasor Head and Naked Lunch stoned..... WOWWWW!!!!
