The Alfa has a nice name, Giulia, a series 1 mini, is it a cooper? i want a mini S1 for my first car although a nice one is not cheap, i would like a cooper but a nice one is 5K or more.
Very nice, but I'm guessing that will be quite pricey to insure...for someone just starting to drive and with no NCB...
Would you like to hazzard a guess...I'd say about £4000
That would be the only thing that would put me off buying one, the safety, and they can fetch a fortune, check these out

I like the early ones...JD Classics normally have something a little special...

yeah or maybe more, what is the insurance group as it only has a 1.3.
Don't know Adam...would guess at 6, 7 or 8 maybe...
I know the new John Cooper works are group 17 or 18...but that's a different animal...
how much will they be worth as it does not say the price, i am guessing expensive as they are in mint condition and are quite old.
for the John Cooper Works, are you on about the current Mini's or the classic ones?
My guess...£25 to £30...
I may go and have a little nose around tomorrow as they are only a couple of miles from me...and as I am officially on holiday now, well, I can do as I please....yippppeeeeeeeeeeeeee
The new ones are group 17 & 18...

What are you on about Adam , safety my ***, you kin youngens have been mamby pamby modelled and coddled all your lives , what you want to be wrapped up in cotton wool or something , your pops and me and most over fifty enjoyed those sorts of cars , rickety and wobbly they might have been but we had great fun doing them up with carlos fantango wheels , furry dice twin carbs , side winder exhausts and the like , thats where the fun was , saving your hard earned and improving what you can afford, many a happy pops out there dabbled with mini's ford anglia's and cortinas not to mention if you were lucky enough to have a 1600 gt or 1600e ,
blooody brussels interfearing safety directives have driven costs and things crazy, only some of it for the good , where has all the pioneering spirit gone, brainwashed out of the youth into thinking thats everything has to be just so , , some of you kids want it and expect it all without wanting to work for it Rant over
