Finally finished the Gabion fireplace and outdoor kitchen (sink and tap yet to be fitted) and spent another 2 weeks building the decking. Used 11 tonnes of stone, all filled using buckets and a step ladder.. sigh!
electrician still to come and fit lights and sockets but you get the idea..

If I’m not mistaken you’re in the best county to enjoy the above outside space as well?

Tonight, something from the bottom of the Eurocave. Purchased while we were in Tokyo, so a well travelled bottle. Has benefitted greatly from the bottle age - but the other bottle can still be kept for many years yet. Perfect accompaniment for rolled lamb shoulder roast. 68737

This was interesting....I think.
Add rum, leave to fester, I mean infuse for 3-5 hours in a chilled place and then consume.
It’s the human equivalent of “bleachbit”.
I suspect it wasn’t great as there is quite a lot left.68739

Potentially fantastic. As long as it’s been stored sensibly (out of the light and at a constant, low, temperature) you’re in for a treat. Great find.

all kept in wine rack in the dark and no heating in summerhouse which has never been used since built some 16/17 years ago (long story), might crack one open for tonight's meal, any suggestions which one to try first
