Particularly effective when some homicidal maniac comes after you with a bunch of Loganberries.

That ......

It's quite remarkable how many people and schools won't allow this as a concept. For pity's sake, the only reason to learn self defence is to be alive at the end of the day! It's not called the fright, fight, flight syndrome!

Trust you to pick an exotic weapon!

Thought we'd done oranges & apples, we've definitely done cherries (red & black) ... what about bananas? We haven't done them have we.

In fact, Logan is my Scottish family name and we've several bushes in the garden. We tend to make jam with the majority of the fruit. Would you care for a plant? Can easily transplant - new canes can easily do 20' in a year though.

Ooooh that would be an interesting challenge :) We have a blackcurrant bush which was lovely to nibble, but not enough to make jam (Mrs Catman doesn't like them anyway). The plums failed, but I got some to make jam. Pears just failed, and I have three apples. In the estate, there are russet apples, blackberries, crab apples, sloes. This year the harvest has been insane! Much jam made this weekend, but some loganberries would be great. I might plant on the outside of the fence :D

All this fruit - not going scrumping are you? :D Happy to sort out a Loganberry.
Our jam pan had a run out a few weeks ago - tend to go more for compote than a hard set.
Picked it up at a fantastic place in Paris - E.Dehillerin. Basically a hardware store for cooks.
They had a glorious Turbotiere - at just shy of €1K wasn't remotely tempted. Much :(

Umm. Now the scrumping has been on my radar for a while. There are several apple trees nearby, but I have no press nor a crusher. I keep meaning to buy one but then I decide to go away in peak season. I have many demijohns for fermentation.

I tasted the apples this afternoon as well, and they are really not hugely good. Very mealy and not very sweet at all. It's a bit odd as the first year we moved they were superb for pies and c.

We have some awesome sloe gin as well :D

Maybe a little adaptation needed but possibly worth a go?? A bit small maybe at 15Lbs capacity but with metal gearing a bit of purchase could be generated.

I can't really see the stuffer working. Different tools for different jobs. These apples are wild (as are all the fruit on the estate) so no idea what they came from. It's all a bit of fun really.

Just checked the sloe gin. And yes it is. Interesting :D

This has to be the strangest forum on T'internet , I open a thread which looks like it's about macho boxing but it's a cooking thread, one selling a macho Quattroporte and it's about cyber attacks

Where are the macho threads

As the "fight" was so boring there wasn't much to discuss. At your request sir - something more to your taste:
