Where are they now?

I was answering a post last night that Nigelo had replied to and it struck me where have some of the regular posters gone?

Paul with the QP aka Maserati has not posted for a while, nor has Adam aka Gullible, Dunscot etc.

I do occasionally email them and give them a kick like I did with Rob aka Reservoirfrog and it seems to spark them back to life.

Who else has been missing of late that I should give a kick up the pants to?

As per the league table Matt.....once you go beyond the top 25.....the involvement of the remainder 950 is pretty marginal...:(.......so even if we got 30/40 more to post 5-10 posts a week...the impact on debate, diversity and involvement would be significant.

Top 30 posters put up 1350 posts in last 7 days......................

Remainder 940 members put up....200.............................

Maybe a 2nd email to ask them to post after an initial period, or a "Tell us about you section" for newbies....?

I dont think we should or could compare to the more common or popular brands like bmw or even alfa, as a less common brand i see us rivlaing astons, bentley type forums......

It depends upon what the individuals come on the forum for. It's clear that some for a chat (intellectual of course), whereas others for specific Maserati related issues.
I would suggest that the lesser Posters are specifically here for the car.
Now how do you get more of them to post regularly?

As JC remarked when drooling on about the Mercedes 280SL he fancied.........it wasn't really about the car..........................but..........how it made him feel.

Sure can all make purely car focused enquiries and observations.....but that would make for a duller and less fulfilling motoring experience.

Lots of people aint as car centred about their Maserati when compared to quite a few members on here...but remember only 70 plus owners so perhaps more difficult for other members to become as involved, but thankfully there are exceptions!
