Parisien: Good point - I can hear chickens being counted...
OK, I gave it a drive back to the garage yesterday, after the garage owner had given me a taste of its power on the Ringwood-Christchurch road. Don't think I've ever been as fast in a car anywhere - even on the motorway. Thought my eyeballs were going to pop out of my face! Anyway, it seemed fine - a bit of twittering from nearside front brakes when first setting off (it's been in the yard for a long time), but that went once we got going. It seems to drive really nicely - not the herky-jerky feeling from the paddle shift I was expecting. A bit of scuttle-shake, but not so much that it would worry me. It's been serviced at Stratstone or at a specialist (can't remember the name now). Seems to have had the clutch done at 62k (mileage now 66k). I resisted the temptation to hand over the readies there and then, so have arranged for Emblem to give it the once over later this week. I'm expecting a long list of issues, but hopefully nothing major...
My man in Paris has a 1957 model Lewis....bought it back mid sixties...he still has it!

Have you been in it Frank? How do they drive, smoothly I'm guessing!?
Just seeing myself in one at the moment, who knows why
You thinking of doing a few weddings then Lewis

Bugger, that'll teach me to post pictures of cars I wanted
If that had been there in a few weeks I'd have had it. Good luck with it though, sound like it'll be going to a good home!
Fair play GR - at that money I am surprised it hung around as long as it did. Another time and I would have pounced on it, however I would have had Emblem crawling all over it as well, they're great.
If I go to the Monaco Historic, it will be with the Bentley Driver's Club and Derek Mowat is a famous Bentley seller. I'd have him source me the right car, NON-WEDDING colours with a little bit of modernisation and a sunroof!
