Hi all,

Car is a 2002 grey/silver Spyder, wheels being returned tomorrow, just not 100% ok which colour to go for.

The wheels are the standard 18" multi spoke alloys, colour options include standard Maserati Silver, high power silver, Gloss Black, Anthracite, Shadow Chrome and just about any colour you could dream of, but these few seem to match the car colour.

What do you think of these or any other colours?.

A picture of my car is in the last post.

Thx.

^^^ agreed. I wouldn't rule out satin charcoal. Either. In any case, not silver. Give some contrast to the car.

Mid grey is the way to go. IMO, silver doesn't have enough contrast and black is too 'heavy' and you lose a lot of detail of the wheel. It's like putting pit boots on a ballerina.

Hi. The red Trident is thanks to a little runt who tried to remove it and broke the arms off. I needed to hide the repairs, hence the cover up. The fog lights give a lift to an otherwise bland face. The curves are thanks to the angle and lots of polish.

Hi

I reckon the Assetto Corsa had the best colour for your wheel design. Think it might be Grigio Mercury, but the actual paint codes has proven difficult to pin down.

Hi Robert, car looks great.
Do tell about these copy wheels.
How long have you had them & why?
Are they 18inch?
Where did you get them from?
What brand are they?

Excellent,

Took the car to The Wheel Specialists in Swansea yesterday, a 1 day "drop in" service. They completely stripped, sandblasted, repaired and painted the wheels, and you can choose the colour, plus it comes with a 12 month guarantee - sorted!.
I dropped the Maser off at 8am and picked it up at 6pm and the wheels were all done to a very high standard, I am very happy with the finish:).

I think I pretty much got the colour down to a Grigio Mercury / Titanium type finish, it's a black base coat with a silver top - basically a "Shadow Chrome" type finish, just need to sort out a couple of car park dings now :).

Here's a pic....
