Personally I prefer la coupe de champagne, because it is easier to smell the wine while you drink and the bubbles are smaller which is better, in addition you can get a very beautiful cut crystal glass so that the moment becomes precious and refined . A too narrow flute concentrates the carbon dioxide - which is not good for health and global warming ;)

Redeyes, at moment...COVID splurge was a grinder and espresso machine from Simonelli, and a Moccamaster brewer...double shots for frigid mornings like this one.

My coffee mug has a purported Einstein quote: "the difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits." A necessary reminder, to me, anyway...

I’ll try again - I have coupes but prefer tall. That’s what champagne was originally poured in.
Coupes are a 1930s fly on the wall invention. Champagne is about the bubbles rising and to capture the aroma, you need to concentrate the top of the glass.. not open it up ala coupe.
