Little early for something so sweet?

Why? Decent Sauternes often really is appreciated best on its own I find - once you start adding deserts into the mix it can quickly get ‘lost’ in all the sugar, plus you’ve usually had a load of other wine beforehand. I very much appreciate Sauternes on its own generally.
But I might grab some foie gras from the fridge that I picked up from the local duck farm.
Also, a cigar goes really well with the sweetness.

Fair call, then! De gustibus non est disputandum. Certainly wasn't criticising, just thought it unusual :)

Bastille Day and Le Tour hits Le Grand Colombier. Thought I’d go off piste with this Vin Orange.

Never tried it before - concerned that there might be a hint of Tizer…View attachment 116650
No Tizer. Once my brain got used to the idea, I really enjoyed this. Mrs says it has hints of almond, but all I could get was clementines. Anyway, it’s well worth seeking out, although they only bottled 1250. Surprising. As was today’s stage…IMG_0036.jpegIMG_0037.jpeg

Just nipped into M&S

This was reduced from £42 to £15

Unfortunately they only had the 3 bottles , it would be rude not to , don't know if it's a nationwide reduction
