So now that the Whispering Angel has been finish my next decision is to Bollinger or not to Bollinger. Was thinking of keeping for a special occasion. Then it hit me…There is nothing more special than a Saturday. Policy number two.

I think we crossed in cyberspace and it shows how cruddy my memory has become. That’s a lovely comment on your golf btw. He was a lovely writer and I guess a very bright man,and he did drink that! Very civilised indeed but not massive quantities. Just right. A real gentleman.
At the time I had my first car, a brand new VW Golf GTI (1989) on Danish tax free number plates… his first comments on seeing that car was, ‘it’s showing signs of decay’
