It is my understanding the 4200 bearing isn’t out of stock like the GT/QP.

So the usual suspects, Eurospares, Scuderia Car Parts for new. Breakers like PCCP and David Askew for used. Or EBay of course.

Oh. That's great. However as well as a potential (to be confirmed) wheel bearing I'm waiting for some steering joints.

OSF Track rod end
NSF Inner tie rod
Your car is a GT isn’t it? In which case the above wheel bearing doesn’t apply. Track rod ends should be readily available. Track rods can be rebuilt or an alternative found.

It is a GT. The hub I can live with since it's only seldom intermittent. The steering bits are the ones keeping it off the road

Hi All I have a problem on my 2012 GTS with my front nearside wheel bearing as the dash is showing a problem with ABS/ASR (I believe they are linked). My mechanic has checked on Leonardo and it appears its the ABS sensor causing the problem and you need to buy the bearing with the sensor already fitted. Apparently the bearings are on back order and probably not available until January next year. I can drive the car but with the MOT looming in 2022 I thought I would ask you guys if you have any ideas please?

One point, never buy a second hand wheel bearing, you don't know how long it's got left. It's a false economy.

There are a few for the Granturismo on eBay but from the USA. A premium to be paid but at least you get your car up and running

I wouldn't trust something so critical to purchase from eBay. Only use a reputable source such as scuderia, eurospares or a main dealer.

I bought one from eBay. It was purchased in error for a 2002 car and was as new and is still on the car. If you go in with your eyes open I don’t think it is an issue.

Thank you all for your replies. I did speak to Scuderia who confirmed that the bearings are on back, order and have been since July. Not good I'm afraid but supply chain issues probably not just affecting Maserati. The USA bearings come with an enormous premium but of course when push comes to shove I might have to go down that route. We will have to see.
