Woots, can you ask Danny Ric to knuckle down and hammer Max this week please?
I'll second that. Danny is my favourite driver and a great ambassador for the sport imo. Sadly I think he had to leave RB when they publicly announced they were building the team around Max. Deserved a Ferrari drive, especially with his Italian blood, but Vettel was never going to let that happen was he!

I think a move to Renault could be inspired. They are a full factory team that is putting the resource and patience into building. I'm not sure it will happen for 2/3 years but it is possible, especially with rule changes in 2020 or 2021. RBR made a clear statement when they signed Max on a long deal and didn't sign Danny Ric at the same time. It looks like a strategy to support one driver instead of the 50/50 that the team has gone for to date. Gasly may prove to be good enough to make a serious dent in Max's points haul but Ferrari and Mercedes have proven that a leader with a supporter, irrespective of how that's sold to the support driver, usually gains more chance of a driver's championship.

Of course I don't know the driver's personally however I do agree that Danny Ric comes over well in the media and would be even more popular is he can make a success at Renault. I expect that each of these guys is very driven, to the point of ruthlessness but some make that more outwardly obvious than others.

I think it’s more of a case that he wanted a bit of a different scene, a break of the routine, perhaps slightly motivated by the pressure from max, and the desire to be a clear number 1 driver. But I can tell you, that there has always been total equality in terms of what’s provided to the drivers in terms of car/parts/strategy etc. There’s been no ‘building’ towards one driver. And of course at our level, we always do everything we can as a car crew to give him the best chance....
I fear Renault may have been the only ‘other’ place for now, shame for him that Ferrari didn’t work out.

Classic thread drift Woots....

Not fancy a black one? There's a very good one that will appear shortly with Dicky. Once you've had black....

Agh...I know he’s soon to have one or two black...I just...think it’s a bit understated that’s all, I might be swayed, but I’d be gutted if I went for a black one then a more interesting colour in same condition etc came by...

Random but are you the outrun that used to be on the .
Z4 forum with an MC?
Yes I am! I bought a z4mc new after owning 2 z3mc. Spent a good few quid on it and really enjoyed it. Actually the guy I sold it to still has it. My friend was also on there and bought his one 9 years ago. It's a very special one with lot's of tasteful mods including CSLs, GruppeM air box, full Supersprint exhaust, carbon roof (actual roof not a wrap) etc etc. They are a lot of fun to drive. Which one did you have?

I've also had both silver and blue Gransports so they are out there....

Yeas the silver and blue are what we’re talking about!!!

Hmm I’m sure I met you on a meet once, was yours a black coupe? I had a 2.0 which I took to a meet in wales once and I’m sure a car matching yours was there. Had that two years then traded in for a silver grey Z4M, had an evolve carbon intake fitted and alpha-n tune then got rid.

Who’s your mate? Byron?

One thing for sure Max is the future and I for one am looking forward to him kicking the **** of Vettel and Hamilton out there on track and hope it's in a Reb Bull.

Loving the silver one....Those dark wheels just makes it look so mean yet still elegant.

Phoned about the WSSC GS so see what the service record looks like

Think dickie has one going live later today/tomorrow too....
Being in Italy right now isn’t helping...keep expecting to see one parked up somewhere!

I’m not far from Milton Keynes and have a fully sorted GS with full service history. Not really for sale but could discuss. Or if you’d like to go for a blast.

Funnily enough, I am in Maidenhead today and saw a BF GS in a petrol station. Swung round for a word and it had gone.
