Hi Guys,

Would really appreciate a few of you letting me know what charge is shown on your battery in your 4200 before you turn over the engine.

So that's the last position of the key, prior to to engine start.

1 - If you could let me know what voltage your battery is showing that would be great.

and

2 - If you could also tell me what it rises/falls to after a couple of minutes of driving/engine being on please.

Thanks
R

I suspect if it is low, then battery is on way out....so perhaps change it before it lets you down, assuming alternator working fine............will check now what mine reads....hold on

Ok........when turned key to last mark before ignition it was on the mark immediately after the 10 volt mark.......

more likely gauge is inaccurate if it starts ok. Mine reads just over 10 on the gauge but she cranks just fine. I put a decent voltmeter on and that confirmed its all fine.

Not sure if the actual voltage gauge is the same as the 3200 but these are terrible meters. Get a simple voltmeter and check the voltage on the battery itself. If the actual voltages are ok and the charging light does not come on and it starts, just ignore the gauge in the dash. I more or less ignore my volt gauge as it does not make any sense and reads pants most of the time.

No issues, just wondered is all. Was trying to see if the Loudlink was causing a a draw on the battery but i think it's fine.

Benny - stop scaremongering!
