Victory Design is a brilliant series on Discovery Turbo which charts the history of top motoring marques. This week they have been showing the history of Maserati from the Tipo 26 to the A6G to the 300S.

For those of you unable to watch it on the big screen here it is and what a fantastic insight it is to these amazing cars. Probably as close as we will ever get to feel what it must be like to drive them

Click on the link and enjoy (about 45 minutes long but worth it)

Yes been watching these. The Maserati, Alfa and Ferrari are the ones to watch. Presented by Alain De Cadnet his naration is simply brilliant and he does not just tell you about the succession of models he drives them all hard.

I strongly suggest you watch the series.

Really enjoyed watching this over the last few days - some fantastic motors and great to see them being driven hard.

Any idea where it was filmed?

Here's the normally assured De Cadanet doing another narrative, but this one doesn't end well!

No idea. That was a long time ago. She's probably been married 5 times, with 6 kids and 60 lbs of surplus fat. Just a guess!

Wrong! just googled her. Still quite trim, only got twins but still has a face like a bulldog licking sh1t off a thistle. Not my bag, but, I suppose, somewhere to dump the rubbish!

I love that clip, the pilot must have been p11ssing himself with laughter; that is skimming them! First watched it a couple of years ago (must have been new) a treat to see it again...

The pilot was the late, great, Ray Hanna. His son was the late, great, Mark Hanna. Fabulous pilots, but sadly, no longer with us.

Been getting through this series (recorded weeks back) but I'd missed the Maserati episode. Managed to get it on the re-runs. I iagree the Alfa and Ferrari episodes have been good. The aston was cool as well, was a little disappointed with the Jag one.

He does give them a load of welly as he takes them for a test. I will try to watch the Maserati one soon, saving it for last.
