Just to say briefly that I will be in and out of here for a while and maybe absent for lengthy periods. Last Friday my dear mum had cardiac arrest. Fortunately, this happened in an ambulance otherwise she would definately had stood no chance. Although she is making remarkable recovery considering she is 91 years old, she is still very ill.

I have been at the hospital everyday this week and will continue to do so until she is out of trouble. The way I look at it is that the Maserati is replaceable but my mum isn't.

I haven't deserted you all but maybe gone for lengthy periods before normal transmission is resumed.

Whilst I am away I leave Frank in charge of the jokes, Loz in charge of technical issues and Matt to take care of all the hooligan members (far to many to name)

Love you all

Regards

Urby

The doctors never gave her a prayer of recovery and were ready to write her off. If ever, heaven forbid you have an elderly loved one rushed to hospital you have to fight for them. I am afraid the NHS or doctors in general seem to view the elderly as a lost cause and too often would rather withold treatment unless relatives are more forceful and galvanise them into action.

Sad state of affairs UM as regards your thoughts on Elderly care.......but they are all someones mum or dad, grandfather and mother........it is a pity....keep fighting because they are always worth it plus you have to do it on their behalf!

Hoping for a good and fulsome recovery for your dear mother.

Regards,

P

My mum and dad are joined at the hips..........If I lose one I lose both of them as one would not want to carry on without the other. Frank you are right unless we fight for them a stretched NHS most certainly will not
