I've been told off by Matt for not posting, so I feel that now is as good a time to update you fellahs on my car and I since I have some worthwhile news.

You've all seen by now the grigio mercury wheel + red trident project, which I am so glad I did and would like to thank you all for the encouragement...it does look the business!

I've also updated you on the Bianco Fuji GS that I stripped at a local breaker for its CF bits...my car is going to the shop tomorrow to get them installed and to have an oil change done (the 1L top off I did appears to have been too much and I'm paranoid - despite last oil change in April). I haven't seen the bootlid spoiler, but when they saw it, they weren't too concerned about re-lacquering it...let's see!

Although I've received a full clutch and flywheel assembly (plus all bearings), my shop thinks we should hold off and take the car to the main dealer to get the clutch PIS adjusted to maximize the life of the existing clutch (26k miles and running!). Nice of them to suggest that.

I've also gotten word from Euro Spares that my interior rear columns have finally arrived (waited 9 months!!!) and can' wait to replace mine, which have peeled and warped thanks to the heat down here!

I'll let Buster67 update you on his car, but he is well on his way to creating a manual GS! :)

The other 2 exciting pieces of news is that I have been contacted by the local Maserati office about becoming the founding president of the UAE owners club! (have a meeting scheduled later this month). Fingers crossed!

Last, but not least, my car and I were featured in a local car magazine...see attached:

Well dont fella, I can see you have been busy.....and had time for a new haircut too.

Shame about the Ferrari ad on your magazine spread, car looking the business.

Obviously, when you become president, you wont forget us minions on this forum and end up hob knobbing with the Hoi polloi all the time insead?

Thanks for the update JP. Love the article, though I can't quite read all of it, but that's definitely the Maserati Nivea Smile. :)
