Greeting Christian,
Haven't seen many....in fact only come across 2 Maserati's in Luxembourg.
If yours was a blue 3200 auto driving around the Hesperange area.....I must say it looked NICE :)
Anway greetings :) and enjoy !

That thread tells you how to do ti if you have the 3 pin connectors.

If you have the 16pin ODB connector but an non ODB compliant ECU (seems to be on late 2000 / early 2001 cars) your need Unidiag with the KWP2000 definition files and set the 5 baud init - but be sure to use a VW V.A.G .COM lead. The lead is the critical part. An ELM 327 forr example, will not work.

My *** lead was one of these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/***-COM-K...tive_Tools&hash=item256e8557df#ht_4479wt_1396

Hi Christian,

The guide uses the same vw/audi lead as Arnie mentions above but it has a 3-pin ISO adapter plugged into the end. Obviously if you have a cross-over car with a 4CM ECU but a 16 pin OBD plug you can do without the ISO adapter.

Later cars complied with the OBD2 protocols, so you can get away with a generic tester for these cars.

The latest version of the Unidiag software is hosted here too - you can download it using the links I put in the guide.

PM me if you are having trouble with getting it connected.

Regards,

Steve

only thing to be aware is that "It needs to connect to the right ISO connector. It's found behind the carpet on the RHS of the driver footwell:" is valid for a RHD car. I would assume in Luxembourg you have a LHD. SO the cable is probably not in the drivers footwell, but still on the right side.

@Ledlights: By the way. Any news about the 3200 def file.? e.g. where to donate ?

MUC3200GT - you're the first to offer! I didn't think anyone was interested...... I'll ask Sander to find out what it would cost.

If anyone else would like a def file for the pre-2001 cars with the 4CM ECU please let me know.

Thanks,

Steve

Related to the wish to get a def file: I think the idea of getting a def file was quite good embedded into lot of other useful information, so probably most readers missed it

I missed that little gem Steve, but in hindsight it makes perfect sense. I'm more than happy to contribute for this as the work Sander has done already is fantastic and a specific def file for our ECU would be great.

hello steve i need some help i dont know what the problem is

Good afternoon Arnie,
I have exactly the set-up you mentioned in your email, my car is a Dec 2000 model.
I have obtained the Unidiag software from Dave Shanks' website "Maserati3200.net" and bought a KKL VAG-COM USB/DLC connector, which came up when I followed your link above on e-bay. Interestingly, the connector has many Fiat, Lancia, Alfa cars in its look up table, and Magneti Marelli ECUs abound as options
The Problem I hope you can help me with:
I am having some problems getting the various software to 'talk' to each other. I have loaded the Unigiag software on an old Lenovo laptop running windows 10, and it boots up fine, although other than the 5 baud setting, you mention, I am unsure what setting the myriad of other field are supposed to be set to;
I am having problems getting the connector software recognising the Unidiag, which I assume is the 'driver' software many threads refer to? Any way if you could possibly put pen to paper, and itemise the load, setup and run procedure I (and I'm sure many other owners) would be very grateful for any advice you can provide in clearing my CEL: it has been on for over a year now!
Cheers, Chris

I never managed to get the Unidiag working on a windows 10. Borrow an XP laptop and give this a go or an earlier version as they all worked for me. When you received the files did they give you any instructions. If not let me know a I’ll DM you what I have.
There is another more recent thread so have a search for that, as this is really old.
