I thought about using them but found Northampton Motorsport on my doorstep. They we very good and told me a few stories about aligning Nick Masons 250 GTO. Corner weighting was also an eye opener, the rear was balanced out of the box but the front was 40 kg heavier on the RHS. Total weight 1670 kg...

Thanks. That's good to know. Any idea how much he charges?

Not sure but we discussed what a stellar pain in the backside it is when the bushes are seized and need freeing up. So to some extent it probably depends. He also mentioned the sense in applying a dab of copper grease when putting bushes back in to stop them seizing and thus saving a lot of time and cost down the line.

I once bemoaned Kwik fit 25 years ago about the standard of work on my 1984 Astra in changing tyres. A friend of mine at the time gave me some good advice that I still heed today.
Never trust a company that can't spell its name correctly.

And after the earlier posts I think that's still true about Kwik-Fit.

Sadly they drew the line at fitting the X-box so I went to Mr Tom's

You fitted an X-box? I bet Call of Duty takes the edge off the traffic jams

Seriously though, how does it sound?

Heh. Not loud enough. This was before Modena, so you've heard it.

Currently she's sitting in Chadwell Heath waiting for the delivery of new front shock absorber bushes. These should be there today, so tomorrow, at some point I guess she can present her rear to be worked on. New reversing sensors and straight through back boxes courtesy of Maverick's finest welding services. :D

My brother used to work for Kwik Fit, that is more than enough reason not to use them. Pirelli tyres have always been a no no for me looks like you caught them just in time.

I see now said the blind man.

Thank goodness it's the front shocks, I wouldn't wish removing the rear shocks on my worst enemy!
