Just stick Michelin Pilot 4S into the search and you’ll see everyone’s view in infinity :p

Pirelli Smelli

4S all the way…or wait as a rebrand is on the way, we believe it will now be a SuperSport 3. Same as 4S (prob 5S) but you have to let the marketing people have their spotlight.

I was doing a check on the car yesterday and front oddside tyre is like this, time to have them replaced or OK for a while? The other side is OK and rears are fine. 9986399864

How deep are those cracks in the first picture? If faced with a few shallow ones here or there I wouldn’t lose much sleep, but you’ve got a high performance car there and from your pictures I can see cracks in each of the three channels… would be interested to know how old the tyre is.

They don't seem deep but I was concerned at the number of them. I'll have a look at the manufacturer date on them.

Tyres are late 2016 so well due a replacement! I'm struggling to find "generic" PS4S that aren't homologated for mercedes/porsche (everywhere seems to be out of stock). Are there any downsides to fitting those and is there an alternative that can be recommended? (Apologies for thread hijack)

I got mine From Tyre Point in Maidstone, he had them in stock. Apparently they are MP4 S K2 load rated for maserati

K2 is Ferrari, but wouldn't worry about it personally.

Also, if you struggle to get oem size for a GT have a look at the Stradale sizes, I found those easier to get.
I've got them on the front, and will get the rears to match when needed. No issues at all, only 10mm wider and I actually prefer the fatter look with less stretch.

I’ve got K2s on my Ghibli. I couldn’t get MGTs or K3 whatever they are. Tbh I don’t think for road use K1,2,3 or Mercedes, BMW are going to make much difference if any at all.

I’ve seen similar age-related cracking on Pirelli’s several times. Sometimes after only 18months
Did I guess the brand correctly?

Yes, mine are P Zero MGT, the car hasn't done a lot of miles between 2016 and now which must have accelerated the age related perishment.
