That "parade lap" was epic! Who thought it was a good idea to let us on to the track with nothing in front of us! I can still see the marshals flagging like loons as we all floored it round to the start of the parade lap! Bloody marvelous! The nearest I've got to a track day is the Parade lap at Brands Hatch a few years ago in my asbo 4200.
I'm off to Donington in November.... but im in the wrong thread and the wrong car! (im going in the megane)
Im knee down through there on the bike. I've crashed at McLean's, that's my nemesisI have done Donington in an Elise and Exige. You will have fun as it is a great track. Those Cramer curves are exhilarating but scary at the same time.
Great track cars, I tracked them twice on Kyalami, old style power from an award winning engine, old style gear changes and road holding to matchMe in my E46 M3 at On Your Marks Bruntingthorpe. The old girl performed very well.

Thanks - remember it well and the offending starter motor that shredded itself!Poor old Ian @RSM Masser sitting on the side of the track waiting for a recovery truck for his 3200.
You can see the magnets have come unglued from the casing and have jammed the rotor, used to happen all the timeThanks - remember it well and the offending starter motor that shredded itself!
