Hi Guys,
Firstly congrats on a great forum. Loads of info!
I'm looking for my first Massa. I'm considering GT 4.7 or QP 4.7 or the later V6 but I can't find any info on motorway mpg. (I've got a 66 mustang for weekend so not worried about burning fuel) but I've got to budget as I do 17,000 motorway miles each year.
Can anyone tell me what mpg to expect at 80mph on the motorway from those cars?
Any help massively appreciated.
Cheers

depends on what gear you're in...

on a serious note... no idea, but as you say if you've got a mustang then it isn't going to be out of the ordinary.

On the long boring schleps through France I have seen 20 mpg from mine, but it will drop to 18 or a bit worse in traffic.

I've got a 4.2 QP DS I use as a daily, it's possible to get 28mpg on a flat motorway, at 60-65mph, I got 35mpg once really feather-footing.

But who wants to drive like that - budget low 20's.....

In my GTS I averaged about 15mpg. But I liked the noise. So it was used in high revs most of the time!
Oh the noise.....

I find quite a difference in mpg depending on whether I am in normal or Sport mode. When I first collected my car (2015 Granturismo Sport) and drove 2 hours home down the M1 in horrible conditions averaging 65-70mph I saw 30mpg on the computer - with the large fuel tank I have seen an indicated range of over 600 miles after fill up! Normal conditions on a long motorway run @70-80mph I normally average 24-26mpg. Back roads / fun driving gives 15-18mpg. It's about the same on fuel as my old E92 M3.

25-27mpg for a 4.7 GT or QP.

Long le mans motorway runs gets me 24mpg at 80 ish with odd moments of madness in the 4.7.

2013 GranCab here. Manage around 25 - 27mpg on long motorway runs in ICE. Soon ruin this when the roads get interesting though :)

Not sure how such massive MPG is achieved in a QP... Even cruising at c 60mph in the much lighter 4200s, the best I had was 22 on a 350 mile drive on French autoroutes.

I got 34.1 mpg on a 5.3 mile test on M62, Ardsley to Oulton exit, I have a pic to prove. Apologies for the dust and and ASDA Mobile, not many 2G mobile providers about now - I'm on Plusnet now!
