Guys, the article would have been less than a line log in "my" mag... Coupe all the way (there isn't such a thing as a 4200 ;))

A 911 is a 911 as most people will see it. As for the NSX, great cars, I have driven 500 miles in one. Eat rear tyres though and the geometry can easily go out IIRC.

Interesting that the 911 posts better performance figures despite "only" 300bhp. A reflection of it weighing a lot less (power to weight broadly the same) and presumably the 0-60 will be influenced by the ability of the 911 to put the power down due to the rear engine etc. A mate has this model but have yet to compare on the road performance; he will no doubt out handle me but interesting to see what it will be like through the gears.

Either way the Maser is a far more desirable car; no comparison to me.

996 mk1, not the best looking 911 and an NSX for 15k?? good chance it will be a sh!tter.

Its an Auto Adam...They say you will struggle to get a manual for 15k but a leggy Auto you will...But the car they use is from Honda's collection so it was bound to be a good one..

So in theory they got £15k cars. Could you buy that NSX from Honda museum for that money? More chance of seeing Kate Middleton in the bath holding a soapy loofah.

Any NSX at 15k would be like a 9k 3200 or 911. A bear-trap sprung open, which might cut off both legs or just a few toes. Either way blood will be spilled. I do like porkers, but a boggo 911 with fried egg-lights would not get my motor running (maybe with fronte end facelift)

Good write up though, and letting out the secrets of depreciation to the wider world. Maybe they should keep schtum!

I did think that as well.....The NSX was not a 15k car.....

Will say the 911 did look good in the pictures they took...They to said the mrk1 styling was not the best Porsche has given the 911 with the lights coming in for some stick.......The thing that the 911 has that the others don't is size....Its the perfect size for sports car....You can place it in a corner perfectly......I know some think its a boring German but its a very engaging car to drive...Or the ones I've driven have been..............PLus running costs would seem to be cheaper than most cars in its class.

One yhing gthey do say about the 4200 is that the engines are unburstable as far as reliability.....

I think any car is poor if not looked after properly Dem, 3200's, first gen RS6, Alfa's, BMW VANOS engines etc... all get slated by most on car forums because of their known problems, you will find on the cars i have mentioned people can afford to buy the car but running it is a different matter and they become neglected.

Dem you can think about changing as much as you like, you are simply forbidden from doing it. Everyone knows the AC is the ultimate Maser!

How funny that Porker monthly should find a 911 to be the pick. Imagine having to look at that dash every day!!! Gopping.

I have to agree with Paco Dem, don't change the AC, you will be always hankering to get one back if you do.

Dem, I love the AC as you know but I must say I have been really impressed with the face lift 4200....Driven one on a number of occasions over the last week and it is a great car......

Seeing sense at last Dem. Get a 4200 and come over to the light side!

Ahem

i think you'll find WE are on the light side.

you boys seem to have some kind of Mondeo rear end graft where only delicate LED boomerangs should live! (See Paco's avatar)
