This months EVU has an article about what would you buy....Hot hatch or modern classic.........The modern classics are

Honda NSX
TVR's Tuscan
Maserati 4200 CC
BMW M5 V10
Porsche 996

The 4200 is a very rare yellow with blue leather and yellow piping owned by a chap from Manchetser called Simon Loat...Good read and they like it for it's noise, looks, V8 engine, interior, instance throttle responce, the fact it's yellow....

They don't rate - skyhook - So more to like than not like.......

Sounds to be a good read, I'll get it. One question chaps, on the Skyhook Suspension, is this the same system as the electronic suspension fitted to the Assetto Corsa? It reads exactly the same and seems to do exactly the same Skyhook/Assetto C, but is it the same as far as you know?

5 seconds is not rapid to 60 nowadays and it does not have much torque. 996 C4S is a steal at the moment for around 20k.

Still a bench mark Adam...but it all depends on how it does it.......thought this was a Maserati forum....NSX indeed!!!!!

Could never consider a Honda over a Maserati Frank....No matter what it was....There may be better cars out there but they are not a Maserati

The Honda was great back in its time and made Ferrari change the way it made its supercars, they had to be usuable.........At the time the press called it an everyday Ferrari with a Honda badge but the true was its wasn't a Ferrari..Yes it was brilliant but it was never a car with passion..You just had to look inside to see that......The Audi R8 is the modern day NSX...Usable

When I was first into motorcycling many years ago, there was a saying/slogan; I'd rather eat worms than ride a Honda. Now i'm more into cars; I'd rather eat worms than drive a Honda. Any Honda. Kitchen appliances, the lot of them Give me a real car any day. Has to be the 4200 for me.

Good, very reliable bikes but, IMO, lacked character. Had mainly Suzukis, but one Yamaha (R1) and one kwacker (GPZ 900R). Never had the urge to get a Honda except, maybe, an RC30 or RC45. Too late now though, I'd rather spend my money on Italian cars!

Amen to that!

Can I borrow that rag for a couple of days, Andy, when you pop over Wednesday? But only if they say good things ;D Will trade it for the McLaren book
