Well, there we go. It's all over.

The car was collected last Friday by the THIRD buyer - There are some STRANGE folk on ebay!! The buyer intends to get the car back on the road so whilst my little ebay venture probably wasn't financially worth the faff at least the car has been saved from the breakers yard.

Everybody involved has been superb and a great support - the Maserati community genuinely is one of the friendliest I've come across.

Of particular note has to be Autofficina - who very nearly saved the car for me with a VERY generous offer of assistance, but most of all my public thanks and appreciation have to go to Emblem Sports cars of Poole.

Not only did they talk themselves out of lots of work on the car - therefore saving me a needless fortune (it would have been easy to recommend further investigation...) - they kept me fully involved in all of the options available, did lots of background pricing up and searching for parts, were gentle when breaking bad news (refusing to do so on the phone, insisting that I was sat down when they told me!) and put up with having my dead Maserati in their garage for what turned out to be over a month. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble - and it felt genuine. In short I could not have asked for better.

If I am ever fortunate enough to own such a wonderful car again I have no doubt where it will be going to get looked after. I can't praise the proffessionalism, honesty and downright decency of Myles and Martin enough.

Thank you very much everybody, maybe one day in the future I will be back on these forums as an owner. It's been emotional.

Thanks for coming back to the forum and telling us all about the twists and turns in the lives of both you and your 3200.

I am glad you've come across lots of genuine helpful people in the Maserati world, its great to know there are still plenty about! Emblem have indeed a very good reputation and your special mention will be added to many others.

Fingers crossed your 3RD BUYER does all he can to get it back on the road!

Never say never, and can I wish you all the best in the future,

P

Yep, I would've been interested in this as a project - I emailed about three weeks ago but never heard back, so assumed it'd already sold!

Sorry ... sympathies for you Joe - i've been in your shoes, having had my porsche for a short while to have an engine go.. it's gutting. Good to hear that you haven't lost your faith in the marque and so glad to hear the help that was offered from the dealers and members. All the best, lets hope to see you in the driving seat again, do hope you hang around on the forum...A
