Thinking of selling

Hi

Under pressure from she who needs to be obeyed to get a more practical car.

Wanted to check what platform have people had most success selling please

I have a 4200 that was born in 2004. It has about 65k on the clock. 12 months mot and just serviced.

Seats have been done. Xpipe installed and has Bluetooth kit.

What do people think it would fetch? Mercedes think £8,500

Personally, without seeing the condition and not knowing if it is a face-lift or not, you should be selling for a minimum of 15K but I would go for more. Mine is a face-lift with about the same mileage and year as yours. I bought mine with 58k on the clock (private) with a full and correct MSH, I held out for a manual box, I paid 15K but also spent an extra 2K to bring it up to the standard/condition I wanted.
I also would personally take up Richard's offer to help you out as everyone knows that he will only sell quality cars.

I agree with others that the value should be 12k-15k trying to achieve up-to 15k private. It will likely take a while but patience is rewarded on the end.

There are a few around and prices vary wildly. Certainly worth you guys selling to not form a cartel as such...as it would be a small ineffective one...but keep pricing in line with each other & strong.

As Mav says it is not worth giving these cars away unless you can afford to or have to.

He has a business that is like WBAC but he offers the car to a network of dealers that have signed up nationally who bid their highest price on the car. If it is a car the network needs or wants it can often get a strong price back. Less so for cars not so needed or wanted. Costs you the end user nothing to sell as the network of dealers pay a yearly fee. So nothing to lose in trying really.
