A Rolex robber tried to take mine off me in Barcelona a few years ago. But he was operating alone (as far as I could tell) and lost interest the moment he was punched in the face, hard. (By a passing stranger, M’Lud.)

So I’ll be taking my chances once again in Ibiza next week! (Though we’re in the NE of the island which is a bit quieter anyway.)

I'm amazed you're not heading off to Elevenerife.

Nice.
I’d have said it yours for £340k
Watches to me are a funny one. I’ve 1 decent gmt I never ever thought I’d treasure or aspire to.

You’ve a fantastic collection including a tourbillon (that I thought was an infectious disease) and reallly appreciate the horology.
I’ve ordered one and the strap too.
Excuisite taste in cars too.
Blimey Wattie, I’m all humbled. What have I done to deserve such praise?

I did look at Richard Mille’s on line after that and I do agree that from a distance the case shape and skeleton design is similar. The Ciga is now my daily and i put this black carbon effect strap with red stitching on it to match the red hands. I find it gains a few mins each week, but so do many other far more expensive automatics.

Not hard to regulate that Seagull movement. It’s always going to be position sensitive but I bet you could get it down to around a minute a week or better, if the timekeeping ever bothered you. Not that it should by the way :)

Unfortunately Wattie I have to agree mate. What’s it like Down Under is it similar?
Deteriorating unfortunately.
We had our lock up broken into a about a week ago. It’s in the basement of the building
We tend to keep old and unused items down there i.e. clothes. They broke in and took the lot. Including kel‘s wedding dress.

Others were broken into the same night and had electric bicycles/scooters stolen. They had been replaced six weeks earlier from a similar robbery….. circa Aud $10k
I’ve been told?

I’m currently in a huge battle with with the body corporate because the crims are so confident they can get away with it they’re coming back…..days later.
Sad state of affairs.
Apparently we have security that inspects the basement. I told them and they said they come three times a night and it takes them around 15 minutes to drive around the basement.

So that’s 45 minutesout if say eight hours of night time.
I.e. less than 10% of security. I’ve asked body corporate what is the point?

went down and put a lock/ chain on it and repaired the broken lock.
Not sure it will make any difference as one of the guys who had his electric scooter/bicycle stolen said they used a battery powered grinder to cut through his chain.

I’m really concerned about female safety leaving/Entering their cars and being followed by someone. Don’t know if it’s happened in the UK yet but we have a lot of people entering cars at petrol stations when owners are inside paying.
