Anyone know when was officially the last MC Stradale manufactured ?

I often see many MC auto shift being advertised as MC Stradale, but they were all the “standard” Granturismo with the MC Stradale body kits.

so when did the Production of MC Stradale model actually end?

As far as I know, it was around the end of 2016 but Maserati customer care may have a specific date.
I went to look at a new one in late 2016 at Graypaul Nottingham which was one of the last to be spec'ed and ordered by a UK dealership and that had a build date I believe of August 2016

The last face lift was never called a Stradale even though it looked like one........but it was just a fast with the performance figures the same as the 4 seater Stradale and has more power than the two seater...and I believe the only difference was it didn't have carbon brakes which to be honest wouldn't bother me as do you really need them for road driving. I love the last model which brings the looks up to date and I would have one over the last Stradale when actually there surely isn't any difference out on the road probably.......
I mean look at this one. It was up for 65k and is now sold which isn't surprising at that money......

Obviously, all just personal opinions, but I think the last face-lift is the worse looking. The change in shape of the front side intakes/grilles just doesn't look right to my eyes, the angles just don't flow with the lines on the rest car.

Also on the later MC (fakestrad) as above, as well as missing the carbon brakes (which like you, I wouldn't feel is 100% necessary on the road) it is an auto, which, to me is more of a problem.

Also, do they have 'race' mode or just sport as per the normal MC-auto?

Ah yes forgot it's an auto as well....Not sure about race mode but sure someone will know........So difference is the carbon brakes and auto box. Still think I would have one as I prefer the way it looks and the Auto box has been lauded as the right box for the GT although again it's all about personal taste.......People need to stop advertising it as a Stradale though as Maserati never said it was one.

just had a look and looks like no race button also so just Sport......So no carbon brakes, auto box and no race....Any other differences?

One other difference is that the face lift non Stradale has front parking sensors and a true Stradale never had these available - those couple of hundred of grams of weight saving all counts ...

I thought this would have the autoshift gear box rather than the MC shift? Or did it also have the same gearbox?

Ah, auto as per the above replies... So, not a real Stradale. It may look like one with the updated infotainment, but definitely not a substitute for a real Strad. Also, agreed with Sam above, the front bumper is not for me.

I have seen a few of these facelift cars advertised as Strads and it’s quite confusing for those of us that do not know all models is detail.
Do they have the carbon bonnet I wonder?

Yes they have the carbon bonnet. If you have a look at the advert I posted there is a video and a picture of the bonnet up.

This model is the Granturismo MC as shown by the dashboard badge where the MC Stradale badge appears on the real one

There's slight nose differences between the Stradale and 2013-2018 Face-lift Sport. Not just the lack of race mode, carbon brakes and gearboxes although the MC Shift is the same. At the back the Sport has oval exhausts at the corners whereas the Strad has two round exhausts near the centre eminating from a completely different and nicer looking rear diffuser.

This one confuses me (easily confused)
Certainly not a Stad as quoted in the advert so what is it ?

It’s a Grancabrio MC. All Stradales are coupes with central exit exhaust pipes, without a gear lever.

Not forgetting that the “proper” Strads have no rear seats, and the fronts are the light weight carbon jobs from the Enzo and MC12.

The gearbox actuator for the Stradale is different in its design and operation from an MC shift. For the super fast shifts innit.

That's interesting, I didn't know that. I wondered if it was just a software difference in 'race' mode.

From one of the numerous docs on the Granturismo there's this oscilloscope picture. I think this is for the 2007 onwards 4.2. 7590575904
