We drove in the opposite direction yesterday, heading to Brittany after collecting our new dog. We saw all manner of interesting machinery heading towards Le Mans, as well as masses of D-Day vehicles wending their slow way home. Talking of which, when we got off the ferry at Caen on Sunday morning, the satnav got its knickers in a twist and we found ourselves on a minor road which led to a bridge. Pegasus Bridge. Satnav forgiven!

Nearly race days gents. How’s things in Le Mans. ? Who are you routing for this year ? Porsche for me so happy they landed a P1. Enjoy the race, alcohol, food and good company.

I can recommend having been a good few times now. I’ll be there on the Historic Lotus Register stand I’d wager.

Tricky this year, been Toyota and Corvette for the last few years. But I can’t quite get my head around the “non-factory” efforts. Might be BMW and Iron Dames in the pink Lambo they came so close last year.

Not normally bothered by LMP2 but after AO Racing’s 911 Rexy last year, they have Spike this year.

Would love the Iron Dames to win in class.
