"What do you mean..."pregnant"? I haven't got the Gransport yet!"

This was, emphatically, the wrong thing to say...

Still, moving into the garage hasn't been too bad. As I haven't got the Maser there's plenty of room to read car mags. By torchlight. And the spiders keep me company...

BTW - assuming I'm allowed back in one day, kid carrier things (its been a while since I last did this) fit in GS, don't they?

They fit...and you can get a filler for the rear bucket seats...you can even get a light stroler in the boot...but not much else so no good for trips away with the new family if you need use of the second rear seat

I went on a European roadtrip to Rome and back with our little boy when he was one, puschair, steriliser, bottles, travelcot etc, perfectly possible.
Don't despair Marwood, I'm still on the case!

Talk to Woody on here - he thoroughly researched the subject so that he could keep his GS when the infant Woody was born. He'll tell you which products fit in the boot etc.

No isofix on 3200, 4200, or gransport. I am looking at retrofit at moment, but still likely use the belt as well as the isofix so can tell wife twice as safe

Easy answer - QP V (with Maser child seat and matching bespoke Maser luggage set). Marital and automotive bliss combined.

Is isofix a legal requirement ? Because my generation we were held on peoples laps in cars with no seat belts, airbags or any other safety features. I did 2,500 miles around Europe in my 4200 with a 15 and 11 year old in the back. I enjoyed the drive.

Isofix is not a legal requirement more a more convenient method of attachment.
Yes in an accident, I am sure Isofix would come out better than seat belt attachment, but so would being in a more modern car than the 32/42/GS.
I fitted rear seats to the back of my Stag for my kids, legally they could sit in the back without any belts as non fitted from new. I did even look at fabricating an isofix mounting but in no time they are on booster seats and no longer required.
The Maserati is a great family car, my kids (4 & 8) love ours, and the Stag come to think of it (no roof daddy!)

I'd agree the 4200 can do family holidays, the 4 of us went to Scotland in the summer for a week

Not quite as old as some here but I have been told that I was in my cot in the boot of my Dad's E-Type as a child. I asked the wife if we could do that when our first was born and I owned a BMW z4m coupe but she was not best pleased. I do have a small Quinny Zapp buggy that I bought to fit in the front of a 911 Turbo so that will fit in a 4200 for sure.
