After selling the 911, I've had the Maserati for 2 months now, and I've noticed a few things.

People let you out of side roads, they give way to you, nod and say

'nice car'. Boy racers leave you alone, just gaze longingly at the car.

I miss the 911, but I just LOVE this car.

.....perfectly true Newton...the number of audacious moves I've pulled in the beast.........people almost expect you to....:)

Totally agree, Frank.

When I was in France, someone stopped on a roundabout. Just stopped dead, waiting for me to pull out.

Some French roundabouts still give way to joining traffic.

I *think* they did away with that law a good few years ago.... but a lot of older drivers still remember it.

Makes for entertaining chaos at all sorts of roundabouts. My particular favourite is the Etoile, surrounding the Arc du Triomphe. Mayhem to make the retreat from Moscow a triumph of Gallic planning.

At Arc de Triomphe..........in France I believe French insurance companies say....if you have a prang.....each pays his own costs!!!!!

Agree with all that. It's rare that you get much bother. Someone jovially (I like to think) shouted "mid-life crisis!" at me the other day (I didn't like to say I had one of those years ago, got it out the way early) and a BMW drove up my backside for a while last week until he could get past, but actually far less aggression than in other cars I've had, even "normal" ones. The black Disco was probably the most disdained by other road users.

Maseratis are great.

Bizarrely.....far less social stigma ( media generated of course) attached to 4X4s now.......the current RR is very green.....compared to even regular cars

Priorite a droite is pretty much dead IME these days.

This wasn't a village either, outside Epernay in Champagne, and everyone else wasn't using that rule :)
