Morning all, decided not to go into the office today for no other reason than I can besides it is review of yearly staff survey today and fortunately my team are extremely happy across all measures other than pay (which is always the case) so focus won't be on me :)

Morning all. Managed to fix ours about 6 weeks back which bought the payments down.

Off to Feli this morning for new stoppers and a once over.

Have a good one, all

Well done C that was a good move. We had a 5 year fix and all done the end of August. We are looking at a two fix to bring it down or we ride the storm for a year or two but as it has gone up £850 a month I think we need to do something now as it is a big chunk out of the month.

Bloody ****! I think ours only went up by £300 and we've been off fixed for about 2-3 years, but we took another deal just (like a week) before the next hike so from memory we're on 4.09 or something.
5 year term, which I'm OK with as we only have 8 years left (or 7 if we use the money freed up by the other mortgage from January)

I know it was a bit of a shock when I read the letter. I think we can get it down though as the rate they are quoting is 7.99% and others are less.

Morning all and suddenly grateful for 30 year fixed mortgages. It's another theoretical Friday as penultimate four day summer work week...but we know how that really goes. Still living on the dark side of the sun...triple digits today...

Have you moved in yet..??
Not moved yet, going to have to sell this place now unfortunately, there are just no lenders willing to lend for buy to let at the levels needed, in January we had 100k spare arranged, now we can’t get even half of what we need!

Anyway, the new kitchen is 100% complete and the rest of the place is just about there so will arrang estate agents for Monday now.

Looks like my move to Manchester can't come soon enough, I've got a few years to run on my mortgage but I'll half the payments and hopefully this BofE craziness will subside...along with the Bank rates

Morning all 3 windows fitted yesterday so hopefully the same today.
It's nice to see it starting to happen.
What amazed me is how good the original wooden frames are no rot or anything and 75 years old.
Enjoy your Friday :)
