I know its hardly morning but some good news to report...
As I said a while ago my por old dad is on his way out with Liver cancer, it cirtainly knocked the wind out of my sails to hear about it and its never an easy subject to discuss.
When they confirmed the diagnosis they suggested he'd got probably 6-8 weeks and they offerd him a single coarse of three weeks of chemotherapy....
This weekend that diagnosis was fully 10 weeks ago so he's doing ok. Last week he went for a head to toe CT scan and this week got the results, here's the good news the primary on his liver and gaul bladder has shrunk by around 20% and the secondaries in tis lungs, bladder and stomach have all but dissapeared, so it looks like he's going to be with us for a bit longer....
I've planned a trip for him next weekend to Stockton, Darlington and the National Railway Museum annex at Sheldon and thankfully it looks like he'll be able to make it now. I'm off up there on Saturday for all the right reasons now!
They have also given him another batch of chemo so we'll see how that helps.
